Spartan Doors supply fire doors and solid core doors to the new HarbisonCare Aged Care Facility.
Located in Burradoo New South Wales, the village is on more than 5 hectares of property. It and features self-care units, hostel and nursing room facilities. Also on-site is a comprehensive list of amenities such as a cinema lounge and hair dressing salon.
The HarbisonCare Aged Care Facility project required a combination of fire rated doors and solid core doors. All doors had to meet specification as detailed in the Building Code of Australia.
Spartan Doors worked with its distributor – Primary Access to come up with a solution. The solution had to meet specification and be practical for use in an aged care village. Where possible, lightweight doors were supplied for ease of use. Many of the doors were supplied as sliding doors and mounted on low resistance runners. Various hardware items such as door closers, door handles and vision panels were also supplied. The design of Spartan fire doors and solid core doors also provides an inherent noise deadening quality, improving the quality-of-life for residents.
The final solution featured a practical and high quality set of fire doors and solid core doors that conformed to the Building Code of Australia standards.
